Bilbao FC and Newcastle FC advanced in the SWESO Nawettan 2026 Cup after recording victories in their respective knockout-round matches.
Bilbao produced a convincing 3-0 victory over Anfield FC, with goals from Bangally Tunkara, Habibou Jammeh and Pa Leece Mendy.
Tunkara opened the scoring in the 17th minute before Jammeh doubled Bilbao’s advantage shortly before halftime with a 44th-minute strike.
Bilbao maintained control after the break and added a third goal through Mendy in the 70th minute to seal a comfortable victory.
In the other knockout fixture, Newcastle edged Laha Bi 1-0 in a closely contested encounter.
Njaga Touray scored the only goal of the match in the 59th minute to send Newcastle through to the next round.
The victories keep Bilbao and Newcastle in contention for the SWESO Nawettan 2026 Cup as the competition moves into its later stages.
