Confederation of African Football (CAF) President Dr Patrice Motsepe has congratulated Kemo Ceesay on his election as president of the Gambia Football Federation (GFF).
In a letter dated Aug. 31, 2026, Motsepe described Ceesay’s election as a reflection of the trust and confidence placed in his leadership by members of the GFF.
The CAF president also congratulated Ceesay and the newly elected members of the GFF Executive Committee, wishing them success as they begin their tenure.
Motsepe reaffirmed CAF’s commitment to working closely with the new GFF leadership to support the development and growth of football in The Gambia and across Africa.
He also expressed his anticipation of welcoming Ceesay to the upcoming CAF Ordinary General Assembly in Abuja, Nigeria.
The meeting is expected to provide an early opportunity for engagement between the newly elected GFF leadership and CAF.
