Former Bombada FC youngster Modou Lamin Mass has completed a permanent transfer to Hungarian champions ETO Győr, marking another milestone in his developing football career.
The Gambian attacker joins ETO Győr from Almasi Football Academy in Abuja, Nigeria, where he continued his development after leaving Bombada FC.
Mass, who can operate on either wing and also in an attacking midfield role, made his senior debut for Bombada FC during the 2023/2024 season. He impressed with his pace, technical ability and creativity, becoming an important member of the squad during the following campaign.
Before making his mark at club level, the Brikama-born player gained recognition in the Brikama Nawettan competition, where he represented Gidda Youths and emerged as one of the area’s promising young talents.
His move to ETO Győr represents a significant step in his career and adds to the growing number of Gambian players making their way into European football.
The transfer also highlights the continued development of young Gambian footballers and the country’s increasing reputation for producing talents capable of competing on the international stage.
