The capital city of Banjul is set to host the Banjul Marathon on Sunday, April 26, bringing together runners, walkers, and fitness enthusiasts from across the country and abroad.
Participants will have the opportunity to compete in a range of events, including a 4KM walk, 5KM and 10KM races, a 21KM half marathon, and the 42KM full marathon. A Para Marathon will also be held to ensure inclusivity for athletes of all abilities.
Organizers said the marathon aims to promote healthy living, community engagement, and national unity. Spectators are expected to line the streets of Banjul to support the participants as they compete.
The event is described as one of the most inclusive sporting activities on the national calendar, offering challenges suitable for both amateur and professional athletes.
