Serekunda United FC continued their strong start in the Gambia Football Federation (GFF) Men’s Division Two with a 3-1 victory over Wagadu FC at Kabekel Football Field on Monday.
The win marks Serekunda’s fourth consecutive victory, leaving them atop the standings with 12 points. Captain Muhammad Ceesay opened the scoring, before Ensa Conta added a second. The third goal came from an own goal by Wagadu, who later scored a consolation goal.
At Serekunda East Mini Stadium, Kanifing East defeated RS Tallinding 3-2 in a five-goal thriller.
Baalor Sarr FC secured maximum points against Elite United at Faraba, with Kemo Ceesay scoring the only goal of the match.
Gunjur United suffered a 3-1 home defeat to Wallidan FC at Gunjur Niamina Football Field. Ansumana Daffeh had given the hosts an early lead, but Jerreh Jatta, Alagie Gibba, and Mustapha Camara countered to hand Wallidan a comfortable win.
