A man from Tujering Village has pleaded guilty before the Brikama Magistrates’ Court to charges of housebreaking and theft involving cash and property valued at more than D70,000.00
Ismaila Jadama appeared before Magistrate I.O. Njie on Wednesday, 31 December 2025, and admitted to two counts of breaking into a building, committing felony and stealing, contrary to Sections 258 and 262 of the Criminal Offences Act, 2025.
According to the charge sheet, the offences were committed on or about 18 December 2025 at Tujering village in Kombo South, West Coast Region.
The prosecution told the court that the accused unlawfully broke into the residence of Kebba Bojang and made away with D62,000 in cash and a Samsung mobile phone valued at D8,500.
Upon the reading of the charges, Jadama pleaded guilty to both counts.
Prosecuting on behalf of the Inspector General of Police, Sergeant Fofana applied to narrate the facts of the case, but the court declined the request and ordered that the accused be remanded at Mile II Central Prison.
The matter was adjourned to 7 January 2026 at 12:00 noon for the narration of facts of the case and sentencing.
