The Gambia have been drawn alongside Ivory Coast, Ghana and Somalia in the qualification campaign for the TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) PAMOJA 2027 following the official draw conducted on Tuesday.
The Scorpions face a difficult task in their bid to qualify for the continental tournament, with former African champions Ivory Coast and Ghana among the teams in the group, while Somalia complete the four-team pool.
According to the qualification schedule released after the draw, the campaign will be played across three international windows.
Matchdays one and two are scheduled for 21 September to 6 October 2026, while matchdays three and four will take place from 9 to 17 November 2026.
The final round of matches, covering matchdays five and six, will be played between 22 and 30 March 2027.
The AFCON PAMOJA 2027 tournament will bring together Africa’s top national teams in the battle for continental honours.
