Sanyang Police Investigate Break-In and Theft at Voter Registration Centre

Police in Sanyang, Kombo South District, have launched an investigation into a break-in and theft at a voter registration centre where registration materials were reportedly stolen.

According to a police statement issued on Monday, the incident occurred on Saturday, 9th May, when unknown persons entered the office and took several items, including blank voter registration cards and other consumable materials.

Preliminary investigations suggest that a man believed to be mentally unstable unlawfully gained access to the premises and removed the materials.

Police officers subsequently visited the scene and opened an inquiry into the circumstances surrounding the incident. Authorities said most of the stolen items have since been recovered.

Investigations are ongoing, and the police have assured that further updates will be provided as new information becomes available.
