The Gambia Football Federation (GFF) is delighted to announce that the Confederation of African Football (CAF) has once again appointed an all-Gambian panel of match officials to take charge of the upcoming CAF Confederation Cup fixture between Stellenbosch FC (South Africa) and CR Belouizdad (Algeria).
According to the Federation, the match is scheduled to take place on 1st February 2026 at the Cape Town Stadium in South Africa.
The selected officiating team represents the pinnacle of Gambian refereeing excellence and consists of:
Central Referee: Abdallah Jammeh
Assistant Referee 1: Abbas Bah
Assistant Referee 2: Sait Ngallan
Fourth Official: Baboucarr Alhasan Bass
“This prestigious appointment by CAF serves as a testament to the continuous development, integrity, and high standards of officiating within The Gambia,” GFF said.
It added that it reflects the GFF’s unwavering commitment to the training and technical advancement of Gambian referees, ensuring they remain among the most respected professionals on the African continent.
The GFF extends its warmest congratulations to Abdallah Jammeh and his entire team, maintaining its confidence that the appointed officials will uphold the highest spirit of the game and execute their duties with the professionalism and fair play that have become synonymous with Gambian refereeing.
