The Global Associates Co. Ltd Foundation has coordinated the second phase of a philanthropic campaign aimed at supporting vulnerable children, families, and healthcare institutions in the Greater Banjul Area and parts of the West Coast Region.

The initiative received backing from Dutch philanthropists, including Mr. Dennis Van Der Zwan, his wife, Mrs. Karolien Vervloet, and their associate, Mr. Stef Lin, along with other supporters. Donations included children’s dolls, clothing, rice, onions, and cash, which were distributed in Sukuta Nema, Brikama Lambai, Faraba Banta, and Jalkassa.

In a related contribution, a Gambian philanthropist residing in Germany, who requested anonymity, donated 50 mattresses valued at D170,000 and five bags of flour worth D10,000.

The items were delivered to Tanka Tanka Psychiatric Hospital and received by the hospital’s Matron, Mr. Barrow, and Chief Nurse, Mr. Abdou, on behalf of management and staff. Hospital officials expressed gratitude, describing the support as timely and beneficial to both patients and personnel.

The campaign was overseen by Mr. Mayorro Sidibeh, Chief Executive Officer of Global Associates Co. Ltd, who supervised the distribution process to ensure transparency and accountability.

The second phase of the drive began on December 24, 2025, and concluded on January 7, 2026. Organizers said the initiative sought not only to provide immediate relief but also to encourage individuals, philanthropists, and development partners to support vulnerable communities through structured and credible channels.

The foundation reaffirmed its commitment to facilitating humanitarian assistance and urged both public and private contributors to collaborate in future initiatives to ensure effective and accountable support.
