Banjul, The Gambia – 15 November 2025
The third edition of Gambia International Fashion Week (GIFW) was successfully held on 15 November 2025 at the OIC Conference Centre, bringing together designers, creatives and fashion industry stakeholders from The Gambia and abroad.
Founded by Ismaila Jallow, GIFW continues to grow as a platform for promoting Gambian fashion while encouraging international collaboration and cultural exchange. The event featured runway presentations showcasing a mix of contemporary African design, craftsmanship and innovation.
Designers and brands that participated in this year’s edition included Christian Spinelli, Frederica of JF Ɛritej, Alioune Badara Ndione of Loulou, Zitamilano, Tobe Asikoko, and O B I O M A – EKÓ iLÉ, among others. The programme also welcomed internationally acclaimed Dutch designer Addy van den Krommenacker, highlighting the event’s growing global reach.
Collections presented on the runway reflected a blend of traditional influences and modern silhouettes, demonstrating the creativity and diversity within the fashion industry.
Speaking at the conclusion of the event, Ismaila Jallow said the fashion week was created to provide Gambian designers with professional visibility and opportunities while strengthening connections with the international fashion community.
