Gambian Referees Appointed for CAF Confederation Cup Duties

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has appointed two panels of Gambian referees to officiate in the preliminary rounds of the CAF Confederation Cup, marking another milestone in the country’s refereeing profile on the continental stage.

 

According to the Gambia Football Federation (GFF), the first panel will be led by Central Referee Lamin N. Jammeh, who will officiate the match between Kabuscorp de Palanca (Angola) and Kaizer Chiefs (South Africa). He will be assisted by Abdul Aziz Bollel Jawo (1st assistant), Essaha Sowe (2nd assistant), and Abdallah L. Jammeh as the fourth official. The match is scheduled for 20th September 2025 at

 

Estadio 11 Novembro in Luanda, kicking off at 4:00 PM local time.

The second panel, led by Central Referee Muhammed Marigo, will officiate the tie between Zesco United FC (Zambia) and Football Canon 105 (Gabon) on 28th September 2025 at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola. He will be assisted by Omar Darboe (1st assistant), Abass Bah (2nd assistant), with Abdallah L. Jammeh again serving as the fourth official. Kickoff is set for 3:00 PM local time.

 

The GFF congratulated the referees on their appointments and described it as a proud moment for Gambian football.
