Jammeh Vows Eternal Commitment to The Gambia Urges Devotion and Piety

 Former President Yahya Jammeh has reaffirmed his deep love for The Gambia and declared his unwavering commitment to the country’s future, stressing that his objectives for the nation remain unchanged. Delivering his Eid message, Jammeh called on all Gambians to purify their hearts and renew their devotion to Allah.

Speaking in a recorded statement to mark the Muslim festival of Eid-ul-Adha, Jammeh urged Gambians to embrace piety and total devotion to the worship of Allah, whom he described as the only source of true guidance and eternal life. “May the Almighty Allah cleanse our hearts and souls always,” he said. “May He expunge evil from our hearts and replace it with absolute piety, total devotion, total fear of Him.”

Jammeh emphasized that the hereafter should be the primary focus for every believer, reminding Gambians that the choice between heaven and hell lies in their hands. “This world is just a transitory point,” he said, “and the hereafter should be more important to all of us because that is where you have eternal life
