Cuban Ambassador visits The Voice Newspaper

The Cuban ambassador to The Gambia on Monday continued his media tour to The Voice Newspaper and assured his continuous appreciation to the paper.

Ambassador Sr. Ruben G. Abelenda has been touring Gambia media houses including newspapers, radio stations, television stations and online news outlets.

Speaking during the visit ambassador Sr. Ruben G. Abelenda said: “the voice newspaper publishes quality and true information in the Gambia and outside the country as well.”

He said it has been his intention to visit the newspaper “because I heard a lot about them and that is why i gain interest and buy the newspaper and read it every day.”

According to him, visiting the Gambia is a great experience because Gambian people are very friendly, well educative and it is also a peaceful country, saying despite all the difficulties Gambians still managed to smile.

“My aim is to strength the relationship between The Gambia and Cuba and like to be in media because I am a journalist and I write and guide other young journalists,” he said.

He said among his aims is ensuring young African journalists further their training in journalism.

The Voice newspaper Editor Musa S. Sheriff commended Ambassador Sr. Ruben G. Abelenda and his team for the visit.
