Mbolo Association, a charitable organization through its Fandema Project donated 60 desktops to six schools and one institution.
The schools involve Tujereng Lower Basic 10 Desktops,Tujereng Senior 10 Desktop, Tujereng Arabic School, 5 Desktop, Botrop Senior 10, Fatima Senior Bwiam 10, Batokunku Lower 5 and National Disaster Management Institution 10.
Speaking at the donation ceremony on Friday, Jerreh Manneh Secetary of Tujereng Torres Cooperation said the objective of the donation is diverse and it is on a productive direction.
“We are here to improve quality education in our institutions and within the community of Tujereng. This project aims to expose our children to computer literacy.
The chairman of Mbolo Assotiation, Malang Sambou expressed satisfaction in the success of the project underscoring more collaborations in the future.
hope this gesture will inspire further collaboration and support for the education sector in The Gambia.”
“This is a TVET centre accredited by NAQAA. We are giving quality education to young women who want to become innovators and change makers. Through this a lot of women were able to install the biggest power plan in this country adding that soon some of the young women will move to the first power Agro Voltic power plan. We have three projects, one in Afric farm which is 20 kilo wats, UTG another 20 kilo wats in CRR. We are building capacities of the young people,” he remarked.
Representative from National Disaster Management Institution (NDMA), Modou BK Ceesay thanked the association for donating these essential learning materials and changed all the beneficiaries to make meaningful use of the desktop so that their partners donate more in the future.
