Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat and TMF present Ramadan gifts, cash worth over D160k to needy Muslims in NBR

Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat – USA through Muhammad Ahmad Chaudhry and Tahir Ahmad Sarwar known as the Tahir and Muhammad Foundation (TMF) of the United States of America has recently distributed some food items to some needy Muslims in the North Bank Region (NBR).

The distributed items to the needy in this holy month of Ramadan were 33 bags of 50kg rice, 30 gallons of 5 liters of cooking oil, and 10 kilos of sugar and each beneficiary received D1500 as fish money worth D168,000. 

The presentation was held in Njawara and Chogen Misira of Lower Badibou North of the Region. 

Baba F Trawall, Amir of Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat TheGambia underscored the Jamaat commitment to the propagation and teaching of Islam.

He said the presentation of food items demonstrated the call for caring and sharing, especially in this Holy Month of Ramadan. 

Amir Trawally enjoined the Muslims to uphold the teaching of Islam, noting that it would strengthen religious beliefs. 

Oustass Muhammad Sinayoko, an Ahmadiyya JamaatMissionary in Guinea Bissau who doubles as chairman of the Foundation hailed the donor for the foresight, noting the construction of the Masjid and borehole for the community of Chogen Misira contributed to addressing challenges for worshippers. The Masjid was destroyed in a 2021 heavy.

Commenting on Ramadan food stuff, Oustass Sinayoko said it would complement the household food and nutrition security. 

Foday Gasama, Regional President of Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat NBR lauded the efforts of the donor on the construction of their masjid and their support to Muslims. 

He subsequently called on beneficiaries to value supporting each other, as stated in the holy books. 

Chief Fabala Fadia Kinteh, Chief of Lower Badibou thanked the Jamaat for their humanitarian assistance to humanity, saying the distribution of rice, sugar, and oil to Muslims during fasting, demonstrated their commitment to the teaching of Islam. 

The community of Chogen Misira hailed the Jamaat for their unflinching support, citing the construction of a standard masjid and borehole. 

Ebou Ndow on behalf of the community thanked the Jamaat for the donations while he elaborated on their support to the Muslim ummah.
