Kassa Kunda VDC Denounces Use Of Late Alkalo’s Stamp for Land Transaction

By Kemo KanyiThe Village Development Committee (VDC) of KassaKunda has described the use of late Alkalo’s official stamp on land transaction documents as ‘fraudulent’

.Bakary Sanneh, the Public Relations Officer of the VDC, made this revelation in Kassa Kunda during a press conference held recently. The late Alkalo, Sheriffo Sabally died on the 27th December 2023.

Sanneh alleged that the younger brother of the late Alkalo was the one using the official stamp for this fraudulent act.”Musa Sabally (younger brother of the late Alkalo)used the official stamp for land transactions on the 30th December 2023 (three days after the demise of the Alkalo), and on the 14th January 2024 the VDC got another document stamped by Musa Sabally.

“We found out that one Lamin Njie sold a plot of land measuring 50m by 50m to one Ousman Badgie at a price of D450, 000.00 and the transfer documentation was stamped and authorized by Musa Sabally on the 5th January, 2024. We later found out in our investigation that this 50m by 50m plot doesn’t belong to Lamin Njie, but the rightful owner is one MatarrCharreh, who acquired that plot since 2006,” he alleged

“Musa Sabally attempted to sell a reserve land belonging to the school that was established in 1978,”  Sanneh added.

He urged the government through the Chief of BrikamaNorth, Lamin Mondo Jatta, to take the necessary steps to stop such circumstances in Kassa Kunda Village.

He further called on the government to now help the village install new Alkalo for them to bring an end to these conditions they’re facing.

“We wrote to the Chief of Brikama North about the current happening in Kassa Kunda. The matter was also reported to the police prosecution that promised to take the matter to court on Thursday, but we still haven’t heard anything from them,” Sanneh said.
