BFoTG Boosts Jambangjelly Nursery Schools with Educational Materials

Belgian Friends of The Gambia (BFoTG) an organization based in Belgium over the weekend commence distribution of educational, health and medical items to their sponsor students at Jambangjelly School in Region two, West Coast Region at a ceremony held at the school grounds.

Speaking at the ceremony, the chairman of the (BFoTG), Patrick De Vos said their organization is sponsoring fifty students attending Jambangjelly Nursery, Upper Basic and Senior Secondary Schools.

“Out of 50 of our sponsor students, 45 are girls and 5 are boys and we are also undertaking a borehole project at Jamabangjelly Nursery school and also offering support to Jambangjelly Nursery school garden,” Mr. De Vos informed parents.

According to BFoTG chairman, BFoTG, their organization undertook the full renovation of two classroom buildings at Jambangjelly Nursery school while promised to renovate the remaining one (1) classroom building next year.

He said their organization is supporting the feeding of the entire students attending Jambangjelly Nursery school, adding that over the weekend they delivered 53 bags of rice to their sponsor students at the said school.

Mr. De Vos explained that members of their organization are always glad to give support to the future leaders of The Gambia adding: “I am sure that the beneficiary students and their institutions appreciates our support.”

Headmaster of Jambangjelly Nursery School, Buba Jammeh said the students packages donated by their friends from Belgium would ease the burden from the sponsor student’s (parents), adding that Belgian Friends are doing this humanitarian gesture to better the lives of the future leaders of The Gambia.

“We are grateful to the Belgian Friends for putting their funds for their sponsor friends here in Gambia. We commend them for their selfless sacrifice to travel all the way from Belgium to The Gambia annually to give support to our children,” beneficiary student’s parents at Jambangjelly explained.
