Three female Gambian footballers continue to impress adoring crowds of football lovers as they push the round leather for Determined Girls FC and another side in Liberia’s Orange Women’s Division One.

Ruggy Joof, Mbassey Darboe, and Catherine Jatta are becoming huge names in the topflight as they continue to grace the front covers of the local newspapers.

Catherine is increasingly becoming a goal merchant after netting 10 goals in the championship, earning her the second spot on the top scorers’ list whilst Mbassey is third on the list after scoring six goals after round seven of the season.

Ruggy Joof meanwhile is leading the charge for her side as the team captain and defender. No goal has yet passed her throughout the 630 minutes that her team has so far played in the championship.

Determined Girls are now sitting two points clear atop the table with 21 points from seven games.
