One hundred and twenty pupils await to resume learning in September 2023 at Fruit of Education Day Care Nursery and Primary School in Lamin Village is becoming slim as heavy rainstorms destroyed the roof of the school.

Visiting the school, Mr. Tamba S. Sabbah, the Chief Education Officer who doubles as the principal of the school lamented over the disaster that took off the roof of the school last week.

He said the school pupils cannot continue their promotional examination under the scorching sun coupled with the rain, too.

He added that the heavy storm has caused great damage and setbacks to the school, especially one hundred and twenty (120) children of the Nursery level that are moving to the primary level after their examinations this session.

Mr. Sabbah appealed to the parents to give him time to renovate the school while promising them (parents) his faithfulness in keeping to the task of contributing to quality education in the country.

He as well appealed for assistance for the school from philanthropists and NGOs.

Meanwhile, in his dismay, he said it was sad to see his pupils staying away from school without completing their promotional examination but quickly assured the parents of their children sitting for the examinations for the attainment of quality education.

He added that the disaster was unexpected and the school has lost properties worth over two hundred thousand (D200,000) he once again called on NGOs, individuals, parastatals, and philanthropists to come to the school aid.
