Ebrima Tabora Manneh, Secretary General of the People’s Alliance Party has divulged that President Adama Barrow’s reputation and legacy depend on these two terms.

Speaking in an interview with this medium, Mr. Manneh said Africa and other parts of the world are trying to copy the same method of terms in office because they feel is the right system, so the President (Adama Barrow) should fight for the prosperity of this country, too.”

“I advise the President to stop on his second term for the interest of the country. There is no term limit in the Constitution. But Gambians want a new Constitution so that we can have term limitation but unfortunately, the draft constitution was thrown in the dustbin till date,” he stated.

However, he stressed that the president should discourage tribalism and avoids disunity among Gambians, saying that any government that can’t unite its people that government is a failed government.

Mr. Manneh further stated that the security of the country should also be tightened for the safety of the country and also the economy of the country.

“Gambia has failed due to its system there are important departments that have failed because if you relate our economy to Finance and Trade I didn’t see any development that impresses me and also Agriculture, too,” he claimed.

He as well talked about education saying it needs a complete transformation, noting that the four critical departments that can boost the economy are Finance, Healthcare, Trade, Lands, and Agriculture.

“Our Port Authority and the Economy are very poor and if care is not taken Gambia will be a region and our currency will be changed. We should all try and make sure that Gambians be the major players in the economy and security sector of our country,” he said.
