Basse new chairman receives congratulatory Message from UDP Foday Danjo

Mahamadou Ceesay, the National People`s Party (NPP) newly elected Chairman for Basse Area Council has confirmed receiving a congratulatory message from the outgoing United Democratic Party`s (UDP) Foday Danjo after the announcement of the just concluded mayoral and chairmanship election held on Saturday.

 Foday Danjo is the outgoing Chairman of the Basse Area Council, he was elected in 2018 but defeated at the concluded election by Mahamadou Ceesay who contested the position under the ticket of NPP.

“I am pleased to convey that I have received a gracious congratulatory call from my fellow contestant, Mr. Foday Danjo of the United Democratic Party, on my elected as the Chairman of the Basse Area Council,” Ceesay writes on his official Facebook page. 

He added that the former Basse Area Council chairman Danjo has expressed his wiliness to provide his support and collaboration with him and his team towards the betterment of the communities in Basse. Saying he is looking forward to working with Mr. Danjo in attaining his developmental goals for the people of Basse. 

NPP’s newly elected candidate also expressed her appreciation for the trust that the people of Basse bestowed in him, saying it is a great honor and privilege, trust and confidence that is laid before him.

“I want to assure you that I will do my best to serve the council and the people of Basse with dedication, honesty, and integrity. I understand the challenges and responsibilities that come with this position, and I am committed to working tirelessly to ensure that we make progress and achieve our goals,” he pledged.
