MoTIE Staff Trained on Project Proposal

The Staff of the Ministry of Trade, Industry, Regional Integration and Employment (MoTIE) and its agencies, on Tuesday, May 3rd, 2023 trained on Project Proposal at the Sir Dawda Jawara International Conference Center in Bijilo.

Organized by the Ministry, the 2-day training was supported by the International Trade Center (ITC) to build the capacity of the staff in the formulation of bankable proposals, resource mobilization, data management, and monitoring and evaluation.

The training aims to equip MoTIE staff with the requisite knowledge to successfully design bankable projects; provide participants with a simple checklist, template, and model for a successful project concept development; sharpen the skills of the staff on monitoring of project targets to ensure timely delivery of project targets and introduce participants to concepts and practice in resource mobilization.

In his welcoming remarks, Mr. Ousman Jeng, the deputy director of the Directorate of Trade at MoTIE, thanked the participants for gracing the occasion while highlighting the importance of the training, which he said, will equip them with the requisite skills in writing project proposals.

On behalf of the Ministry, Mr. Jeng thanked the International Trade Center for their support in building their capacity.

Mr. Modou Touray of ITC further took the participants through the definition of the project, programs, project management office, and the determinants of project success.
