Karamo Ceesay, re-elected councilor of Tallinding South ward has vowed to bring more development projects to his community, saying he was re-elected for the development and advancement of Tallinding, KMC, and the Gambia at large.

According to him, during his first term he doubled as the chairman of the Finance Committee, Chairman of the Revenue Committee, Vice Chairman of the Accounting Committee, and a member of the Education Committee as well as the Mbalit Truck Committee of KMC.

He added that he held those positions with utmost commitment and respect to promote development in his work which gave the people the confidence and trust to re-elect him into office.

Ceesay added that he also strived by all possible means to have good bilateral relationships with international institutions beyond the Gambia to support the residents of Tallinding, KMC, and the Gambia.

“I feel it is right to provide for the needs of the people since the councilors are collecting tax and since elections are over let us try and focus on development and leave politics. This is a clear indication that we must always unite and work together as one people with one goal to achieve the progress we all desire. I encouraged all the candidates to come and join me in the Ward Development Committee for us to be able to support our community. I hold the conviction that when we come together and work as residents of Tallinding, we can promote agricultural, political, and socio-economic development in the ward,” he said.
