Waa Banjul FC   Ba Lamin Sowe Signs for Spanish Tenerife

Gambia National U-20 and Waa Banjul FC full-back Ba Lamin Sowe has signed a three-year transfer deal to the Spanish side, Tenerife, a GFF Facebook report on Thursday

The talented and versatile left full-back made the deal after his stellar performance at the WAFU tournament in Mauritania 2022 where he was a subject of the hunt by scouts at the tournament.

Ba Lamin is also joined by his former U-20 teammate Habibou Mendy of Brikama United who also put up a similar deal. The duo who traveled together to Spain last week are part of Gambia Young Scorpions’ successes over the years and have been acclaimed for their sterling performances that earned the Young Scorpions silverware at the Sub-regional tournament in Mauritania.

Sowe, however, is highly expected to be part of the Gambia squad for the TotalEnergies U20 Africa Cup of Nations, Egypt 2023.

Meanwhile, Young Scorpions and Falcons FC captain Alagie Saine 19 has also signed a 6-month loan move to Danish League side AC Horsens with an option to extend a 3 years deal.

As the Gambia gears up for the TotalEnergies U20 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt, more of its prospects continue to attract attention from European clubs for professional contracts.
