Modou Mboob, the acting spokesman of the Citizens’ Alliance (CA) has told the party sympathisers to remain steadfast and trust the process of their recent alliance with the National People’s Party.

Speaking to The Voice, on Tuesday, after the party recently entered an alliance with the National People’s Party; he said “I just want to assure all CA sympathisers that the CA National Executive is more committed to the party’s principles and values than ever.”

Therefore, “I implore the party sympathisers to remain steadfast and trust the process. I want them to maintain their loyalty to the party and the leadership and know that the integrity of the party will never be compromised.”

Mboob also said as far as their Alliance with NPP is concerned it is primarily on anything that would move the country forward.

“To give specifics, the ultimate intention is to work together towards the local government elections and we might work on possible policy transfusions for the development of the country,” he said.

Aside from joining an alliance with the NPP for the local government election, he affirmed that the CA joined the alliance to move the country forward.

He went on to say that as an executive body they owe it to the country and party to ensure decisions are taken for National and party interests. “If some do not feel represented and want to leave, they have the right to leave,” Mboob divulged.
