Teenage on trial for housebreaking crime

A 19-year-old boy (name withheld) native of Lamin Village is currently facing trial on two counts offense, namely housebreaking and stealing before the Brikama Magistrates’ Court, West Coast Region.

According to the particular of his offence the 19 years old accused on the 7th September 2022 at Lamin C.D.C Village around 17:00 hours onwards broke into the house of Modou Musa Sanneh and stole one Panasonic television with cable valued at D5,500.

Meanwhile, the accused pleaded not guilty to the two counts offence filed against him.

The Police Prosecutor, sub-Inspector Peter Gomez told the court that the case is under investigation, he said the accused is given bail he will impede their investigations.

Magistrate Ebou Sowe did not object to the plead of the prosecutor not to grant the accused bail, he, therefore, ordered that the accused should be taken to Mile II and remand while the case is adjourned to 13th October 2022 continuation.
