Red Scorpions FC yesterday won the Gambia Football Federation (GFF) Women’s First Division League after defeating City Girls 1-0 during their week-29 fixtures played at the Independence Stadium in Bakau.
Mariama Cham scored the only goal in the game in the 72 minute to help her side win the Women’s first division league.
The champions Red Scorpions FC, who won the league after collecting 35 points in 13 matches overall recorded 11 wins, 2 draws and zero defeat after 13 matches.
Meanwhile, City Girls who occupied 4th position with 17 points, overall collected 4 wins, 5 draws and 4 defeats after 13 games.
