WCRFCA concludes weeklong D’ License Coaching Course

The West Coast Region Football Coaches Association (WCRFCA) on Tuesday 2nd August concluded a week long D’ License Coaching Course.

The capacity building course held at the National Technical Training Center in Old Yundum brought together 29 Coaches from Nawettan teams, Football academies, PE Teachers and Third Division coaches across the region.

Lamin Kaba Bajo, GFF president, described the training as a milestone in the annals of the CARM project which is enshrined in the National Football Development Plan.

Mr Bajo highlighted the significance his administration attaches to capacity building which according to him would now have an added key sector parameter; security as another capacity building area to.be enhanced.

He went on the hip praises to the Technical Director, Sang Ndong and the technical department for the giant strides the department is undergoing and further encouraged the participants to make best use of the knowledge gain for the wider benefits of the region.

Sang Ndong, GFF Technical Director also congratulated the Coaches for the completion of the course and encouraged them to assign tasks to their assistant coaches or team captains in order to share responsibilities.

Bakary Bojang, WCRFA President also hailed the week long course as significant and thanked the GFF for the support extended to the region.

President Bojang noted that he is very proud to witnessed the third Coaching Course under his reigns of Office of the West Coast Region, while advised the coaches to share the knowledge gain with discipline and tolerance.

Secretary General of the Gambia football Coaches Association Amat Cham also encouraged the participants to register with the Coaches Association through their region in order to be recognized and benefit from the Association.

Baboucar Mbye Coach of Kunkujang Friends FC in the WCRFA 3rd Division, while giving the vote of thanks, expressed gratitude to the GFF and WCRFA for the opportunity accorded them while promising on behalf of his colleagues to make best use of the knowledge gain.
