Gunjur FC were on Saturday crowned champions of the West Coast Regional Zonal football championship after defeating Sanyang 2-0 during a final played at the Brikama Box Bar mini-stadium.
Bubacarr Bojang scored both goals for Gunjur FC after opening the scores the in the early 9th minute of the game, before netting the second goal from the spot kick in the 55th minute of the second period to completing his brace.
The Coastal Town boys, Gunjur FC won Brikama FC 6-2 in their semifinal, while Sanyang FC also beat Brufut 2-0 in their seminal encounter.
As winners, Gunjur FC were awarded a giant trophy, gold medals and a cash prize of D75, 000, while the runners up received silver medals and a cash prize of D50, 000.
