City Girls held, Immigration beaten in GFF Women’s 1st Division League

City Girls were held by struggling Brikama United while Immigration were beaten by Berewuleng during the Gambia Football Federation (GFF) Women’s 1st Division League week-11 fixtures played on Saturday.

City Girls were held 1-1 by struggling side Brikama United during a game played at the Lives Your Dreams Sports Complex in Basori.

The Jeshwang-based team City Girls has now recorded their five draws of the season, while the Sateba Girls registered their second draw of the league.

City Girls overall collected three wins, five draws and two defeats after 10 games, while Brikama United overall gathered one victory, two draws and seven losses after 10 matches.

The draw occupied City Girls in 4th position with 14 games, while Brikama United sit 7th position with 5 points.

Elsewhere, Berewuleng FC defeated Immigration 2-1 during the late week-11 fixtures played at Basori on Saturday.

The Brikama-based team, Berewuleng now recorded their fourth victory of the league, while Immigration suffered their seventh defeat of the season.

Berewuleng overall collected four wins, three draws and three defeats after 10 games, while Immigration overall registered zero victories, three draws and seven defeats after 10 matches.

The win moved Berewuleng to 3rd position with 15 points, while the defeat dropped Immigration to the relegation on 8th position with 3 points.

At the time of going to press yesterday, Red Scorpions were taking on Abuko United in the earlier game at Basori, before the late security derby encounter between GAF and GPF.
