Sherrifo Sonko, a member of United Democratic Party has rejected former vice president Fatoumatta Tambanjang call for reconciliation at the launch of the government White Paper held at Sir Dawda Kairaba Jawara Conference Center, Bijilo
Speaking to The Voice newspaper, Sheriffo Sonko said: “Been the former vice president does not matter, what is important is to know who Fatoumatta and her characters is, and what she is to Ousainou Darboe and President Barrow. The same Fatoumatta Tambang was the one that alleged Ousainou Darboe saying her dismissal has to do with Ousainou Darboe and that allegation was done before elections.
“I want to know who that person that is going to lead the reconciliation because that person must be very potential, and have one of the best characteristics. The reconciliation should also have principles and the reason for the reconciliation should be known,” he added.
“There must be justice first before reconciliation IEC should come out in public and disclose that their system was hacked. Also, before she (Fatoumatta Tambang) reconciles Darboe and Barrow she should reconcile the nation first by telling President Adama Barrow to come out and apologize to the public for using tribalism during his campaign period which has caused the recent division of tribes in the country. The nation should be reconciled first before the individuals or party,” Sonko stressed.
