Koita FC maintains lead, Prison defeats Young Icons in GFF Women’s Div. Two

Koita FC has maintained their lead at the GFF Women’s 2 Division League after beating Foni Girls, while Prison defeated Young Icons during their Women’s Division League Two week-10 fixtures played over the weekend.

Koita FC thrashed Foni Girls 5-0 during their week-10 game played at the Kita Football Field on Saturday.

Koita FC has now registered their seventh win of the season, while Foni Girls suffered their ninth defeat of the league.

Koita FC overall collected seven wins, two draws and one defeats, while Foni Girls overall recorded one win, two draws and seven losses after 10 games each.

The win maintained Koita FC at 1st position with 23 points, while Foni Girls occupied 9th position with 5 points.

Lower Nuimi were held to a 2-2 draw by Kinteh’s FC during their game played at Kiti on Saturday.

The North Bank Region-based team, Lower Nuimi now earned their second draw of the league, while Kinteh’s FC recorded their fourth draw of the season.

Lower Nuimi overall collected four wins, two draws and four defeats after 10 games, while Kinteh’s FC registered three wins, four draws and three defeats after 10 matches.

The result moved Lower Nuimi to 5th position with 14 points, one point above Kinteh’s FC who sit 7th position with 13 points.

Elsewhere, Prisons beat Young Icons 2-1 during the earlier week-10 fixture played at the Kiti Field on Friday.

Prisons FC collected their fifth triumph of the league, while Young Icons suffered their ninth defeats of the season.

Prisons FC overall earned five wins, one draw and four defeats after 10 games, while Young Icons overall recorded one win, nine defeats and zero draws after 10 games.

The triumph moved Prisons FC to 4th position with 16 points, while Young Icons languished at the rock-bottom (10th) position with 3 points.

On Sunday, Greater Tomorrow held Jeshwang United to a 2-2 draw during the earlier game at Kiti, on Sunday.

The Jeshwang-based side now forced their first draw of the season, while West Region-based team Greater Tomorrow recorded their second draw of the season.

Jeshwang United overall collected seven wins, one draw and two defeats, while Greater Tomorrow overall recorded four wins, two draws and four losses after 10 matches for each.

The result sent Jeshwang United to 2nd position with 22 points, one behind the leaders Koita FC, while Greater Tomorrow occupied 5th position with 14 points.

Elsewhere, Future Bi also played a 1-1 draw against Raptim in the late encounter played at the Kiti Football Field on Sunday.

The Foni-based team, Future Bi now collected their first draw of the season, while the Tallinding-based team, Raptim FC registered fifth draw of the season.

Future Bi overall collected six wins, one draw and three defeats, while Raptim FC overall earned two wins, five draws and three losses after 10 matches.

The draw sat Future Bi at 3rd position with 19 points, while Raptim occupied 8th position with 11 points.
