Future Developers Staff Association gets 200 plots of land in Jambajelly

National Water and Electricity Company under Transmissions and Distribution staffs called Future Developers Staff Association has been handed 200 plots of land in Jambajelly by Kombo Real Estate Company after completing payment.

The association aims to make sure that T and D member staffs of NAWEC are able to acquire a plot of land for themselves so that they can have a comfortable shelter to live.

Landing Bojang, president of T and D Association highlighted that the day marked 6 years and 1 month of establishment of the association, adding “we all aware of the reason of forming this for each of the member staff to have a plot of land.”

According to Ahmed Tijan Janneh, Secretary General T and D explained the rationale behind it saying “we all know there are lots of people who work until their retirement but cannot secure a piece of land for themselves. We met different estate companies who had charged us highly but Kombo Real Estate save us.”

He assured that in five to six years they will be able to finish the payment within the required period of the contract which is 8 years and it is a great achievement.

Sanna Jassey, CEO of Kombo Real Estate said his company always making sure that people who earn low salary are able to acquire a piece of land for themselves through a planned payment roll.

“Some people are doubtful about the kind of versed land we allocated to NAWEC T and D not knowing that the institution is part of me and today my success lies in their hands. The credit union is very crucial as far as NAWEC is concern and this is a gift from me not a payback,” he said.

He disclosed that NAWEC T and D has completed their payment last month with his company and they did everything within to make sure that they meet with the requirements of the company and also to protect their institutions.

He said revealed that they have decided not to sell their lands to the rich people but low salary earners whereby arranged a payroll system as their intention is for every citizen to own a land as property.

Ebrima Seckan, vice chairman of T and D expressed delights and thanked the entire management of T and D especially the organizing committee who had worked tirelessly for the possibility.
