Police detectives at the Force Headquarters in Banjul were recently exposed to financial investigation and other monetary related issues, relevant in our present-day generation. The training organized by BSIC was held at the conference hall at Police HQ in Banjul.
According to the organizers, the aim of the capacity building programme was to equip officers with the necessary skills in tackling financial crimes and related issues, like cheques and other financial matters.
CSP Pa Alieu Jawara of the Special Investigation Unit (SIU) expressed ultimate gratitude to the organisers, noting that this training came at a better time, further stating that, the training will help in the investigation of such related crimes by detectives.
The SIU boss further advice his men to take up the training seriously, saying the knowledge and skills gained will not only be relevant to their work but also their daily lives as citizens.
Participants were drawn from the SIU, CID, and Fraud Squad among others
