Gambia Democratic Congress’s aspiring National Assembly member for Jeshwang constituency has warned against giving chance to the ruling National People’s Party’s dominance in the upcoming parliament elections.

Modou Ebrima Cham told reporters after filing his nomination documents at the Independent Electoral Commission that any mistake by Gambians to allow the ruling party to dominate the national assembly will be catastrophic to the development of the country.

“It is high time Gambians choose the right person to represent the citizens at the assembly. All the Gambians have agreed for me to contest in the parliamentary election because they believe I am the right person,” he said.

According to him, he said am very excited today because am supported by different political parties and even the APRC NO to Alliance by the former president Yaya Jammeh, adding that the entire Gambia is behind me to make sure that I win this sit, this is not the first time to come to the nomination ground and I have fulfilled my requirement and waiting for the IEC call.
