Momodou Sabally blasts Seedy Njie

Honorable Momodou Sabally, a firebrand United Democratic Party member has fired back at Honorable Seedy Njie over his statement that The Gambia’s constitution disqualified him (Sabally) from contesting for a seat at the National Assembly.

Seedy Njie, who is now the deputy spokesman for the ruling National People’s Party wrote on Facebook that the nation’s constitution disqualified the former Presidential Affairs Minister and Secretary General Honorable Momodou Sabally from contesting as Member of the National Assembly.

Saying that, “Section 90 (1) e of the 1997 Constitution of the republic of The Gambia disqualified Momodou Sabally from contesting as Member of the National Assembly.”

However, Momodou Sabally told The Voice exclusively that the former Minister of Information and Communication under Jammeh’s regime, Seedy Njie, of not worth important to respond.

“I am not going to respond to Seedy Njie because he is *** and I am a dignified human being, I repeat I am not going to respond to Seedy Njie because he is *** and I am a dignified human being,” Sabally said.

However, Honorable Sabally said he doesn’t want to comment on his intention to run for a seat in the National Assembly as of now, adding he is waiting for the approval of his party, United Democratic Party.

Meanwhile, in his post hoped to pull off a landslide victory under the ticket of United Democratic Party and serve to attain.

He promised to protect and promote the sovereignty of the Republic improvement of the welfare of the residents of Busumbala Constituency and fight for responsible and responsive fiscal policy so that “our taxpayers get their money’s worth in deliverables promulgation and promotion of real youth and women’s empowerment legislature supporting environmental protection and cultural authentic.”
