Gunjur and Sanyang have booked their places into the West Coast Regional Zonal tournament final after their respective wins during the semifinals.
Coastal Town boys, Gunjur book their place into the final after defeating Brikama 6-2 on aggregate following their home and away win in the semifinal.
Gunjur defeated Brikama 3-1 in both home and away legs, with the first leg played in Brikama on Friday 14 January 2022, and the return leg played on 16 January 2022.
Gunjur maintained their fine form in the tournament after finished top-spot in Group B with 6 points after winning one game and drawing three, while Sateyba boys, Brikama who finished second-place in Group A with 7 points after winning two matches, drawing one and losing one are now eliminated from the tournament.
Sanyang booked their place into the final of the tournament after defeating Brufut 2-0 on aggregate following their home and away win in the semifinal.
Sanyang defeated Sanimentereng boys, Brufut 2-0 in their second semifinal game played at the Brufut Strassa football field on Sunday, following their goalless draw in their first leg game played at Sanyang football field.
Both teams played a draw during their first encounter against each other in Group A as Brufut finished top-spot in the Group with 10 points after winning three matches and drawing one, while Sanyang finished 3rd place in Group A with 5 points after winning one match, drawing two and losing one.
Meanwhile, the West Coast Region Football Association is yet to schedule a date for the Zonal final following the completion of the semifinals over the weekend.
