Former president Yahya Jammeh has told listeners at GDC-APRC campaign held in Kombo South that he warned Gambians during his exit from presidency that they (Gambians) will suffer under Barrow’s administration. He reminded them as he urged Gambians to vote President Adama Barrow out of office in December to end their suffering.

Jammeh, now living in Equatorial Guinea in exile was speaking through a telephone: “I once said it in a meeting at Tanji that if I leave this country for even the farmers to eat fish it will be difficult, didn’t my word stand?”

“The Gambian women are suffering under the rule of President Adama Barrow and all sources of earning for the women are closed,” he said.

“They fooled Gambians that the tourists are not coming as they are supposed to be because of me, before if someone had a small sickness and go to the hospital, especially the pregnant women during their pregnancy period before giving birth. But now if they are pregnant, they are scared. I am urging the women to come together as one family, stop tribalism and stand with one voice to vote out the current government,” he urged them.

“During my time, even if you send a child to the shop, you would have the hope that the child would return, but now even adults are afraid to go to shop at night,” Jammeh claimed.

He said he will not allow anybody to destroy the peace and stability of The Gambia saying “peace for the evil is destroying. The GDC-APRC government will clear all the thieves in the Gambia so that there will be no thief left out and the killing, rapping and house breaks will all end.”
