Honorable Mamma Kandeh, leader of Gambia Democratic Congress has promised to send 4000 Gambian youths to Europe for studies if he wins the December presidential election.

Speaking at a rally held in Njonen, Central Badibou, he said: “GDC has a good package for the youths of this country after the December 2021 election. If the people that I have spoken with did not fool me, if they elect me, we will send 4000 youths to Europe,” for studies.

“We don’t say what we can’t do but what we can. I believe that if I win, I would give that assurance to the Gambians. Ghana has done it and each of those youths are earning $7000 a month, 3500 will be deducted and sent to their countries for their up keeping when they return. I am not convincing you but I know what I’m saying, GDC is the solution for youth development in this country. We don’t sign agreements with Europeans to deport our youths,” he added.

According to him, after, 3000 extra youths will have the opportunity to benefit from the package. This has never happened in the history of The Gambia. GDC is not here to play games so the ball is on the side of the Gambians to decide.

“In this meeting every elderly person present here wants the success of his child so GDC noted that they have come to help the youths and women. We all have seen how in Gambia the same method of farming is still used to farm the Alkali has spoken with confidence and that is what we expect, he added that all the speakers have mentioned the challenges faced by people of Central Badibou,” he disclosed.

“The road they use to travel has been noted, what comes to our mind is if these people are sick how they will get access to the hospital. However, if you don’t pay tax the government will come for you but your needs from the Government are provide from the taxes, the government supposed to construct good feeder roads, build schools and hospitals,” he lamented.
