A 9-year-old boy in Grade 4 has been reported to have been raped by an alleged rapist by the name Sanna Danso over the weekend in Janjangbureh, Central River Region (CRR).
Sources closed to this medium in Janjanbureh confirmed the incident, while disclosed that the alleged rapist, Sana Danso, a native of Janjanbureh is currently on the run after the news of the incident went viral in the rural capital of CRR.
Classified information obtained by this medium narrated that ‘one 9-year-old boy in grade four has been raped by Sanna Danso of Janjangbureh.’ The narration added that ‘the boy has been referred to a health centre in Janjangbureh for medical checkup and the result shows that there was penetration in his anus several times and his anus has been enlarged/expanded beyond its elasticity limit.’
During our finding, it was disclosed that the boy has received proper treatment from the health facility and ‘on behalf of the family of the minor and on my own behalf I thanked everyone for their quick responses.”
However, the boy is back in school but the rapist is at large, according to the source.
Meanwhile, The Voice Newspaper contacted Child Welfare Officer in Janjanbureh Ebrima Jassey who also confirmed the incident, declining to make any other comment until he gets approval from his Permanent Secretary.
