Peace Gambia in collaboration with Brufut Upper Basic and Senior School has commemorated International Day of Peace at Brufut School.

Ousainou Gambia, peace advocator said: “we should always remember to speak peace, talk peace and act peaceful as this election seems to be one of the burning election or the highest election with so many worries in the minds of everyone.”

“We are the people worried about election so we are the people that can fix the worries in us, so conduct yourself and remember that you cannot go out and preach peace if you are not peaceful,” he added.

He urged Gambians to desist themselves from politics of insult and insulting of other people’s candidate.

“Sir Dawda and Yaya Jammeh were here but today they are no more and Barrow too someday will go. But you and I and Gambia shall stay. So let’s stay away from politics of insult we are one Gambia, one nation, every Gambian has the right to support whatever political party desires. The only thing we cannot do and we should not do is to insult someone’s candidate,” he appealed.
