Second-hand Traders Complain of Unstable Price

Majority of the second hand traders in Kanifing Municipality have complained about the unstable price of goods which is causing nightmare to everyone.

Some of this traders are urging themselves not to vote for President Adama Barrow in the coming elections saying he has no plan to make people live comfortably with their little earning.

In an interview with Ebrima Hydara, a trader at Bakoteh market highlighted some challenges he faces in his business but quickly gave thank to God for being alive. He said there is need to give thank to God no matter what but saying the moment they are now, second hand goods are not easy to sell because it is not moving fast in the market like before.

“Business is unstable amid price increment, the country is dry and everyone is worried of the situation to be candid. I think we should try and change the government if not I fear disaster might happen in the future,” he said.

According to him, he president Barrow to leave office saying that will be the best since he is not looking back to solve the problem of its citizen.

He said President Barrow was selected as and got peoples’ votes Gambia people were looking up to him in finding ways to mitigate the unfavourable situation in the country. But electing him, he said, only resulted in poverty and corruption which should be addressed as a matter of urgency if people want rapid development.

Muhammed Kuruma shared similar comments re-highlighted some of the problems they are facing as regarding their businesses this includes unstable price, lacks of patronage among other things.

He as well appealed to the government to try his utmost best to help people to bring down the high cost of items people are lamenting.
