NBR wraps-up TAC meeting

North Bank Regional Technical Advisory Committee recently wrapped up its two days Quarterly Meeting with heads of institutions and NGOs, a meeting that enabled them discussed on quarterly activities report and plans.

The meeting was part of strengthening decentralisation process and provide platform for heads of institutions and organisations to be aware of various types of projects and programmes implemented by partners.

Speaking at the occasion, Governor Lamin Saidykhan spoke on the significant of the two days gathering, noting that it aimed to foster closer collaboration and networking among institutions and NGOs.

He noted that the outcomes of the convergence will informed his office on various types of development projects, achievements and challenges aimed to improve the wellbeing of target population.

Governor Saidykhan reiterated that government attaches great important in providing much needed resources and thanks NGOs for their invaluable support in complementing government efforts.

He again assured them of his office commitment to engage various line ministries and departments to find possible solutions to major challenges of the various departments.

Chairman Malamin IL Bojang and Samba MK Leigh Chief Executive Officer of Kerewan Area Council noted that the synergy would contribute immensely in enlightened the council on various interventions by development partners. The local government ACT 2002 emphasised the needs for heads of departments and NGOs to report on their activities. Council officials hailed the Governor for the foresight and reassured of council support to strengthen decentralisation.

Alagie Jawara Regional Community Development Officer and also Secretary to TAC has underscored the significant and important of the quarterly review meeting, noting that there is need for resources to enhance coordination and effective service delivery.

He later described the forum as very essential which prepare administrative and policy guidelines to ensure efficiency and enhance productivity.
