OPHA urges government to construct more roads, garages

The founder and CEO Organization for Peace, Humanitarian and Assistance (OPHA) has urged government to construct more and roads and garages across the country.

James F Mendy who said OPHA doesn’t joke with peace as it cannot be bought in market said “we don’t know the important of peace until we lose it,” Adding that,  it is better not to lose peace than losing it and start regretting it.

As the country is in election year, he said his association will continue to advocate and engage the public in peace talk.

Fernando Jean, secretary general of OPHA said the purpose of their press conference is to brief stake holders and everyone on some of the issues that are really affecting the public.

Apart from their aims and objectives, he said their principal focus is that they stand for peace and give out humanitarian aid and respect to the people.

Also, he said OPHA engages in sensitization programs, especially that covid-19 pandemic has affected a lot of people.

Among other issues dilated on during the press briefing were the hiking price of commodities in the local markets, house rents and transport.

Luke Jatta, PRO of the OPHA said the association is here to support the poor and needy in their aspirations.
