Two alleged burglars appear in court

Two alleged burglars, Kebba Manneh and Ousman Ceesay Monday appeared before Magistrate Jallow of Kanifing Magistrate Court on three count offences – conspiracy to commit felony, burglary and stealing all contrary to the laws of The Gambia.

According to the particulars of the offence of count 1 and 2, Kebba Manneh and Ousman Ceesay on or about the 29th day of March, 2021at Bakau New Town around 05:00am onward in the Kanifing Municipality of the Republic of The Gambia, they broke and entered into the dwelling house of Majula Konteh with the intention to commit a felony therein with stealing thereby committed an offence.

The particulars of offence for count 3, Kebba Manneh and Ousman Ceesay on or about the 29th day of March 2021 at Bakau New Town around 05:00am onward, in the Kanifing Municipality of the Republic of The Gambia, you (they) stole one black and red Bluetooth speaker mark WSTER valued at D1,200.00 and one mobile phone mark Nokia value at D1,500.00. Total sum D2,700.00 (Two Thousand Seven Hundred Dalasi) being the properties of Majula Konteh, thereby committed an offence.

When the case was mentioned before Magistrate Jallow the two accused persons pleaded not guilty of any of the offence.

The two accused persons were given a bail in sum of D10,000 with two Gambian guarantors.

Seargent 3577 Kebbeh represented the IGP while the case was adjourned till 26th April, 2021 for prosecutor to present witness to testify.
