MoH to receive first batch of Covid-19 doses today

The Gambia will today, 2nd March receive its first batch of coronavirus vaccine doses from Senegal, according to the Ministry of Health.

Last month, Senegalese President Macky Sall said his country will give The Gambia 20,000 doses of the Chinese Shinopharm vaccine out of its 200,000 doses.

The 20,000 doses will be used to jab health workers.

“The COVID-19 Vaccine will arrive tonight at 9 PM. The handing of 20,000 Doses will be held at the Airport. Minister Samateh and other health officers will grace the event,” one of the health officials said.
