Lands Ministry trains community leaders on land conflict resolution

The Ministry of Lands, Regional Government and Religious Affairs recently trained community leaders including chiefs, alkalolu (village heads), area councilors and staff of the Department of Physical Planning and Housing including Department of Lands and Surveys on Land Administration, Conflict Resolution and Natural Resources for National and Local Authorities.

The training which was part of the Conflict Resolution on Land and Natural Resources project, funded by the United Nations Peace Building Fund and Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) was held in Janjangbureh, Central River Region.

Among other things, it was meant to enhance and build the capacity of national and local authorities all across the country for effective and efficient land administration, land management and conflict resolution on land-related issues.
