President Barrow advised to restore Gambia sovereignty

Musa Yali Batchilly, leader of Gambia Action Party has advised President Adama Barrow to restore the sovereignty of The Gambia, as he argued that the nation has lost its sovereignty.

He said despite the odds of former President Yahya Jammeh he has protected the sovereignty of the nation to the core. He therefore urged President Barrow to emulate the former President Jammeh in protecting the integrity of The Gambia.

“Let’s talk about ex-president Jammeh’s bad and good deeds instead of talking only about his wrong deeds. I respect Jammeh though I’m not member of APRC. And why I respect Jammeh is that he protected our sovereignty to the core that’s why I respect him,” he affirmed.

He went on that “Our sovereignty has gone and I am urging Gambians to hold their voter’s cards and restore the sovereignty of the nation. President Barrow, if you want to win next election whether you know it or not, the country’s sovereignty has gone, try and ensure you bring back our sovereignty.”

“There are some leaders outside the country who had done worse than President Jammeh – Jammeh had done some developments and good things. He had done some mistakes but why are we not talking about his developments? Everyone has done good and bad deeds,” Mr Batchilly said.

According to him, Senegal control The Gambia’s sovereignty and he urged that, that should stop immediately.

Meanwhile, “I want Barrow to close the river Gambia and send away the Chinese and close the river for a while. People are suffering – the foreigners have come to take away our fish to their countries,” he said.

So “I am advising you! President Barrow and I know that I’m not competing with you because you are my president but I will tell you the truth.”
