Top human rights lawyer has said President Adama Barrow government is among spreaders of the deadly coronavirus -which has grounded the World economic growth and forced millions out of jobs.

Speaking in an interview with The Voice newspaper, Lawyer Assan Martin said “I think this president and the Government have designed logic before they ban people from congregating due to covid-19. But now they are inviting crowd upon crowd and being supper spreader of the coronavirus.”

He added that they (government) have no more moral ground to tell people to observe social distancing as people are so disappointed with the Ministry of Health.

He said the government is depressing people that supposed to feed their families by asking them to close their restaurants “while the same government is running around with convoy upon convoy calling on crowd when they know that Covid-19 still existing.”

However, “this government is all about incompetence, the president cannot do the job neither interested in the job, but just want to be seeing as the president nothing more nothing less,” he divulged.

He also slammed the Minister of Health saying he is also collaborating in pandemic spreaders   as he is going to the president’s tour.

In his opinion, he said the Minister of Health should have warn the president just like they did previously by telling people  to stay at home and let the president go and do a swift tour, instead he is involving in the tour, a big disappointment.

“How can we Gambians have our common sense to give this such ministries another five years, as the Tourism sector is dead, Ministry of Land is in mess and this why Gambians should wake up to make sure that this regime come to an end,” he said.
